We at TEDi attach great importance to data protection and data security. Here, we would like to explain to you how we treat your personal data and which information we collect of you and how we use these information.
When does TEDi collect personal data and how does TEDi use such data?
We adhere to the legal requirements of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG) when we collect, process and use data.
In general, you can visit our website without leaving behind any personal data (“data”).
However, as part of the procedures named in the following, we need to collect and use particularly the following data:
- Participation in prize draws: Here, we use the data that you submit us as a participant in the prize draw. As a minimum requirement, these are your name and e-mail address. By participating in prize draws by TEDi you will never enter into another commitment or automatically subscribe to a newsletter.
- Administration of expansion: Here, we use data that you submit to us as an interested person. As a minimum requirement, these are title, surname, first name, street, post code, city, e-mail address.
Moreover, you may provide voluntary information and, in this way, help us to make our offer more user-friendly and design it according to your needs. Thanks to these data it becomes for instance possible for you to receive offers that suit your profile and interests. We also use your information according to legal requirements in order to send you information on products, services and promotional offers. This is not the case for data that we receive as part of an application by you.
You may object to the use and processing of your data – this also includes your e-mail address – for marketing purposes at any time. You may also cancel such given consent at any time by means of sending a letter or e-mail to the following address:

We then will cease contacting you for marketing purposes and will not forward your data for marketing purposes.
How do I receive information on my data?
According to legal requirements, we gladly provide you with information on the stored data about you, the purpose of the storage and the categories of recipients that we may have forwarded your data to. Please direct your queries empor above named address.
Which precautions are taken by TEDi to protect the data?
In order to view, edit or delete data, all users need a user name and password for their login. The combination of user name and password is unique, in this way, other customers or users may not access your data. Encrypted storage in the database of all customer passwords; hence customer passwords cannot be viewed by personnel handling your order or replying to your query.
A cookie is a piece of information that a web server sends to a browser and which the browser sends back to the same web server when accessed at a later point in time again (so called “browser or session cookie”). By means of cookies, it is possible to store information between website accesses and they allow an (online shop) server to recognize the browser of the visitor, hence the visitor himself, after the first visit and/or over the course of a session.
When visiting our website, our server may store the content of your shopping basket or your login status for the duration of your visit at www.tedi.com. These services are only possible by using cookies. They will be deleted right after exiting the website.
Cookies can only contain information that the website provider itself sends to the user; private data of the user are not read in. Our cookies are thus not “dangerous”, other than often discussed in public speeches. Please note that cookies can only be accessed by the actual creator of these cookies.
