New TEDi stores every week

We rely on long-term growth. In order to extend our network of stores to 2,000 stores in the medium term, we will open approx. 100 new stores per fiscal year across Europe. Therefore, we are consistently looking for new locations. We want to settle down in locations where convenience products are bought. A property may be located in a pedestrian precinct, in a high-traffic urban area, in a shopping centre, in a row of specialist stores, or at a solitary location. We are particularly interested in prime locations, for instance in cities and large shopping malls. Regarding the size of the catchment area, we are flexible. Even the minimum size varies depending on the location.

The broad range of products in our stores constitutes an ideal supplement to the existing range of goods at a location. TEDi attracts hundreds of customers each day, whereby also the adjacent trading environment benefits from the customers. We are not only looking for frequency, we also provide for it.

We are constantly looking for suitable locations for new TEDi stores. To give you an idea of what we are looking for, we have included our list of requirements regarding suitable locations below. It may be possible to agree on deviations from this list − talk to us about it.

Property: Portfolio property, purchase property, or new building construction projects for rent
Location: Pedestrian precinct, downtown A or good B location, district location with high frequency of casual customers, row of specialised stores, shopping centres, foyer zones in self-service stores, or an individual location
Trade environment: Foodstuff discounters, consumer markets, textile and shoe stores, drugstores
Catchment area: More than 20,000 inhabitants in the centre (exception: tourist locations), more than 30,000 inhabitants in the catchment area than 25,000 inhabitants in the zone of attraction
Surface area profile: At least 350 square metres selling space, plus approx. 30 square metres auxiliary areas, in pedestrian precincts or locations with high customer frequency over 300 square metres selling space, depending on the trade environment up to 1,500 square metres selling space is possible
Outdoor sale: At least 15 square metres selling space in front of the property
Facade: At least 11 metres frontage with display windows
Parking spots: At least 15 parking spots in front of the property (exception: city centre location)

Deviations from our requirement profile are possible only after agreement.
